London 2012

My family have been watching the Olympic every since I could remember. I even remember watching it with my parents in 1992 when we were living with my grandma. It is like a tradition. :D Now that my siblings have grown up we watch it more than my parents do. And I think because of the dashing and attractive men and women :P. My favorite to watch is women volleyball. My sister and I watch aquatics (sometimes with my mom). My sister watch basketball when it's on. Now if my dad was around to watch it with us, he and my mom would watch track and field together. I watch it too sometimes..but most of the time I watch the finals only.

I always make it a must to watch the opening and closing ceremony and see who will be hosting it the next time. I am glad we have repeats of events cause the Olympic this time is really at an odd hour compared to China 4 years ago.

Google is also on the Olympic bandwagon with their Google doodles. :D They are so adorable!

Opening ceremony July 27th

Archery July 28th

Diving July 29th

Fencing July 30th

Aren't they adorable? I am assuming they will come out with a different one everyday (or until they ran out of events for the Olympic :P) so I will keep you posted ;). Did you catch the opening of the Olympics on Friday?

Playlist Friday: All Saints - Never ever

Happy Friday everyone!! I am not gonna miss another Friday...I will try at least :D So today is the opening ceremony of the Olympic 2012 in England. OMG...can't believe 4 years have passed!! I remembered the last olympic...so since I am way ahead of you guys (but I am still writing this in US time - if that makes sense?) the opening ceremony is soooooo late. I am quite sleepy. I think I should just change my location for my blog :P it would be easier. LOL.

So in conjunction of Olympic games being held in Britain (I think is the proper way to say it) today's song is gonna be from a girl group that comes from Britain, All Saints (if I am wrong please correct me). I don't know if you have heard of this group before but I use to love a few songs from them (and I still do! but I don't play them as often). I use to listen to them religiously for months at a time sometimes. I have a playlist for times of months. It is crazy I tell ya. I could listen to some songs for months or a hundred times a day. I am not kidding. You should ask my roommates :P.

Please excuse the crappy video for this song. I love the song, I think they could do better on the video to be honest. I usually have a phase where I listen to songs for long period of time then never listen to them again for years. This song have been playing on the radio recently and make me want to listen to them again. Weird huh? What is your oldies but goodies song(s)? Hope you enjoy my pick this week...it is not bad really. Just don't concentrate on the video :P.

Google Doodle July 23rd

When I click on Google this morning and saw this..it reminds me of the movie Night at the museum :D.

Amelia Earhart's 115th birthday

I love the movies, the first was better I thought but they are both fun to watch. :D Enjoy!

Quench your thirst

It has been hot lately. And when it is so hot, I usually go to this place near my grandma's house, it's called Swee Kang. If you live in Kuching, you know it is famous for its ABC or shaved ice. Seriously...if I was not fasting, I would go get myself a bowl or two.

Lately this is my favorite. It is called the 'special'. Inside is a variety of fruits and other fun stuff. It usually has watermelon, pineapple, and some jelly things. Other times there are mango, lychee, jack-fruit or grapes. :D Seriously it is very special. I love the pineapple in it even though I dislike eating pineapple alone. It's the sour, sweet taste that makes it yummy-licious! What's your favorite thing to eat on hot (summer) days?

Playlist Friday - Maroon 5: Harder to breath

Playlist Friday Saturday today pays tribute to Maroon 5 because they recently was in KL for their tour (at least I think so). I can't believe I did not go and see sexy man Adam Levine. I remember listening to their song, the first song I heard from them, Harder to breath. After listening to that song I fell in love. It was like love at first song. I even bought that album when it came out! :D That is how much I love that song.

Sorry for posting this a day late, I had a busy Friday cleaning the house cause they are finally done with the kitchen. :D I will post some pictures when I get them edited (which is taking a long a** time). I tried to take a picture a day but some days its just crazy~! And one of my cat was hit by a car today too. It is kinda sad. She is resting in peace now.

So here is the song. I hope you enjoy it as much I did (I still love this song after all these years!)

Playlist Friday: Bryan Adams - Have you ever really loved a woman?

Happy Friday the 13th everyone~! I didn't even realized it was the 13th until I read some tweets saying how bad luck it was. Sure my Friday sucked..but I never believed Friday the 13th was involved. I have had some awesome Friday the 13th before. :D

Today one of my favorite song from Bryan Adams and it's one of the song that guys should listen to ..haha.

I know Chris Daughtry also sung this song on American Idol years back. I love his version too. But then again I have always been a fan of Chris Daughtry :D.

And... look what Google has on its website today.

Gustav Klimit's 150th birthday

Have a wonderful Friday everyone, what is everyone up to for the weekend?

What I have to deal with lately

These two rascals.

I separated them from their mom when they were about 2 months old because they were looking sickly. After numerous vet visits I am glad to say they are thriving and very spoiled. XD When they were sick, they are more of a lap cat but now, they love to chase each other and other cats around. This is a rare occasion for me, having both sleep on my lap at the same time. Now and then they would come and sit on my lap and try to sit on top of each other. One of the kitten belongs to my sister, which we call Mojo, and when he becomes crazy we call him Mojo Jojo, like that evil monkey in Power Puff Girls. LOL

LOL but we love Mojo (Jojo). The other one we don't have a name for her yet. I tried calling her Forest (cause we were talking about Forest Gump at the moment) and when I say run Forest, run. She ran very fast. It was kinda funny so...temporarily it's Forest but she don't respond to the name. We might have to find a cuter name for her.

What's been keeping you (in)sane lately?

Playlist Friday: Silverchair - Miss you love

And that's how I feel. I miss you, love. Can you believe it's Friday again? Seems like I say that every Friday. :) I wish the world would just slow down and relax and sniff some flowers. Anyway today I want to share one of my favorite song from Silverchair. If you are not familiar with this band I think they are from Australia (of course like always I am not familiar with the band either LOL). I am not a huge fan of any bands but the songs. I am mostly fans of bands that have awesome songs or that I gravitate to :D. Weird huh? I have a friend who is a huge fan girl (if you are reading, hello!! ) but I am not. I think I use to be when I was younger.  Anyway going off topic :P. This song holds a dear place in my heart, and I think when I went through some bad times when I was still in school I listened to this song a lot.

I can never figure out the meaning behind the lyrics of the song. But I love it anyway. There's something about a dark/rejected/torn apart love story that pulls me in. I like sad songs :P haha. Weird huh? Have you heard of this band and if so what is your favorite song(s) from them?

Viva Espana~~ Euro 2012 Champions (again!)

For the last 4 weeks I have been hooked on football. Since the regular football ended not long ago, Euro 2012 started last month and ended Sunday (Monday night for me). As you can tell Spain is still the champions and said to be the best football team in the world. They have won 3 major cups in a row, Euro 2008, world cup 2010 and Euro 2012.

The final game was Spain vs Italy.

It was Mario Balotelli vs the whole Spanish squad. It was one of the best game of the whole competition, except maybe when Italy beat Germany. I really wished Germany would have won but Italy was amazing that night. But during the finals, Spain was the better team. Honestly I think they were not as sharp and not as alert as the Spanish team. It is sad to see them lose, but I think I would feel the same if Spain lost. They didn't! I am so proud!! I am not even spanish :P. One of the funny moment was when the camera showed Charles Puyol and David Villa who was not playing this time around on their phones (I assume they were tweeting the win - and I was right!) LOL. It was the most goals scored in a final, 4 - 0. That is what was so heartbreaking. The Italian team have used up all 3 of their substitute so when one of their player had a hamstring injury, they were screwed. They were playing with 10 man - which I think was a disadvantage. I think there should be a rule set aside for this, in case it happens again. It makes it unfair and like playing with a handicap.

vii
It is heartbroken to see a team lost but that's the game, someone gotta lose and go home heartbroken. I use to be an Italian fan but now I follow where ever Cesc Fabregas goes :P. HAHA...once a gunner always a gunner. I am curious to see which team would be the one to beat the Spanish team. Fabregas, Torres, Silva, Ramos, Casillas, Iniesta, Xavi, Alonso and the likes... congratualations. Another win in the pockets. Now that the football is over I think I can get some sleep. And wait for the premier league to start. Another month or so...then more football action for me!!
