Here's the thing. When ~~you~~ I plan to do things in advance, lets say a week, I never get around to it. There would always be things getting in the way, laziness (my nemesis) and all that jazz. So when my friend texted me Friday afternoon wondering if I wanted to watch Underworld (I think the most awesome-sauce Vampire/Werewolf movie ever, next to Blade) I say - hell yeah, why not? (See...so impulsive and no plans required.)

Have you seen this movie? I don't want to spoil it for whom ever have not watch this yet but oh I like it and dislike it at the same time. Can that be possible??! I think this movie and Blade trilogy is the top of my vampire vs werewolf movies. I wish, I really wish that this movie was longer and the story line is a lot more crazy! I was hoping to see the vampire elders in movie no.4 but no luck. It has been 3 years since the 3rd movie. I know because it was one of the movies I brought CLK to watch the first time he came to visit, and that was 3 years ago. It was his first Underworld movie and he was hooked.

I think Kate Beckinsale is just as hot as when she first starred in Underworld. I likey. XD The movie is pretty straight forward but I think it lacked the wow factor. Michael was only in the movie for a mere 2 minutes. Although they did put another vampire eye candy for my eyes to feast upon *drools*.

Hmmm...sexy eye candy indeed. XD I am hoping that the next movie in this installment won't take as long as this one. I am dying to see what happens although I don't want this movie to end. I just hope it won't be as long as the Harry Potter movies. XD

This movie I think is one of the most gruesome one so far, unless I have blocked some scary awesome-ness in the previous movies. In my opinion I really enjoyed it but I'd like to know how you feel about it, what you think about this movie and weather you like it or not. :D

I want to wish all my friends and readers (if any) a wonderful Lunar new year or Chinese new year :). I heard a ton of fireworks being played outside but didn't see any. I guess they were too far or not high enough for me to see. DAMN I should've made my way to the temple. I am sure they were playing a ton of fireworks! Remind me to make it there by the 15th day of the new year. :D More fireworks I hope!!

What I love most about Chinese new year is (other than the visiting friends and food) are the lanterns! They are so pretty and here they string them across buildings. I have taken pictures of them over the years but they do not do them justice. It is hard to capture a very beautiful scenery with my oh-no-so-professional camera. I will have to try my best in the future.

So in celebration of the new year I will be visiting a friend whom I visited every year and on odd years with CLK. Since he is not around this year I will be going with the troops...old friend. :) I love my friends who I have known for years and years. I want angpow (money they usually give out in red envelops) but my friend is not married and he is not required to give them... damn. LOL

I hope this year will bring luck to me, I was born in the year of the Rat, too bad there wasn't a year of the cat...I am somewhat rat-like in personality..LOL. I hope this year will bring us all prosperity, wealth and good health. :) Dust off your welcome mat and say hello to the Dragon.

I was blog surfing (I do this a lot) and came across this one particular blog that have a music player. I usually don't like having music blasting through my speakers but this particular blogger have some awesome music on. One was a song by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. :) It made me very happy. Although that's not the song I want to share with you. This song, I just fell in love with. It's something about the music in this era that makes me feel loved, in love and dreamy. :)

Don't you feel like you're at a restaurant having a nice romantic candle light dinner for two, lights dim and then come the dancing. That's how I feel. I am definitely putting this on my wedding song list :P haha. Enjoy ~

When Australia came out in 2008 I thought it was a movie about koalas and kangaroos. But I was wrong. Actually there was a scene with a mob kangaroos but...one got shot. So yeah, no kangaroos although there was a lot of cows. Cattles actually and Hugh Jackman *drools*.

I mean who doesn't love Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman. :D Honestly I did not think I would like this movie, nor even want to see it. But after the little fight in the beginning and how Hugh and Nicole character met (it is pretty funny) I knew it was gonna be one of those movies. What makes it more interesting to me was the movie was set before WWII. It involves driving 2000 cattle over the crazy dry land and the bombing of Darwin by the Japanese.

Honestly I like this movie. I would watch it again just because I fell asleep in the middle of the movie but you know me. XD My sister liked it and she is pretty hard to impress. It has suspense, crazy sexy moments and some sad moments too, awesome in my book. So if you come across this movie don't change the channel (like CLK said).

Little Angel

Two days before new year my aunt gave birth a very cute baby boy. Since I live quite awhile away we didn't get to see the lil bundle of joy until recently when my cousin uploaded a picture of him on her Facebook. :)

Later we found out he was still in the hospital, apparently he was born with a little hole in his heart. My aunt is still in the hospital with him because she is breastfeeding him. :) We hope he gets better soon and can come home. I hope we get to meet soon little angel. ♥♥♥

Sorry there have been lack of blogging coming from my end. No there is no excuse or excuses I can give you only that I have been lazy and thinking where this is going. I guess I am just gonna give you photos or things to post but no real path, which I think I should get on. I can't decide what I want this blog to be about other than just random, miscellaneous things about me and my likes :). I hope people can deal with that. :P I figure I should abandoned the Project 365 (which was a total failure =___=). I shall give that a try some other year. I didn't even make it to 200. How sad was that?! Maybe do a photo of the week/compilation photos instead? That sounds pretty do-able.

So before I start blabbing on..I want to share some pictures with you. In the mean time I am going to gather information *runs away*.

Movie Date: Sherlock Holmes 2

Last year I went to watch this movie (last year seems like so long ago..haha I saw it last week) and I don't know if I was too tired (I think I was!) or this movie was just not as good but I almost fell asleep! We did watch it around 10pm so that was a factor. I do believe that the second one was not as good as the first one...other than the hilarious and absurd fact that Holmes was trying to disguise himself as a sofa or book case. I thought that part was pretty funny.

The action was pretty good...Holmes like. The audience did laugh now and then so that was good right? :P My friend didn't complain although we didn't ride home together which we usually do and that's when we discuss weather we liked the movie or not.

IMDb ratings: 7.5/10 (must be quite good then I guess I was just too sleepy to enjoy it :P)

I did want to see this movie, We bought a zoo but I don't think they are showing it anymore :( I am a sad panda!

I love a crazy love/family story with animals! and 2 zebras. Have you watch any of the movies?

Happy new year everyone! First post of the month. I have been having problem with blogger these few days..ugghhh. But anyway :) here I am! So I have this song stuck in my head.

They have been playing this on tv since new year's eve but not the kermit version. I love Kermit and I have this song somewhere on my computer. :D I love it! So many things I am thankful for this 2011, especially all the friends I've made through my blog :). Thank you and I cherish all of you!! Especially my blog readers who followed me on Twitter, you guys are the best! Hopefully our friendship will continue to flourish this coming 2012. :) I am trying very hard to blog everyday, starting tomorrow (2012 - crazy right?!).

I am thankful for all my family and friends that have been by my side, my #fruitbasket family :D (long story I am sure it is not very interesting but they are awesome girls) and my best friend for life, CLK :) He always makes me happy and laugh and make my everyday wonderful. I love you bubs!

I am thankful for being here today, to see another year go by and say hey you, you are alive and well...make the most of that. :) I am thankful for little things and blessed for all the things I have in life.

I hope I am not to late to wish you all a very merry Christmas! :) We had a very wet Christmas, it didn't stop raining since Christmas eve (it's still raining now actually).

So if you didn't know I don't celebrate Christmas but I love Christmas decorations, Christmas spirits and Christmas shopping :P. I love snowy day on Christmas (unfortunately I live in a tropical island so we don't have snow :D) and I think my favorite Christmas was probably Christmas of 1997. It was my last year in Wisconsin and we had an awesome Christmas/farewell party. It was a sad and happy occasion at the same time.

You want to know how much I love Christmas music? I even play them in July :P and my then roommates would think I am nuts :P but they always makes me happy and sad...I have a love/hate relationship with them. I would like to share with you 5 of my favorite Christmas songs.

Movie Date: Immortals

Hello blogger friends!! *waves* It has been so long and I feel like this has been neglected. I was having some rough time and everyday feels so crappy that I would fall asleep in front of my laptop. It was sooo exhausting. I don't know why. I miss blogging (can't believe I'd say that!) and I miss reading your blogs *hugs*. :) I have not neglected y'all.

So I just want to share something with you guys. My ever-so-trusty-movie-friend-date went out tonight to watch Immortals.

Honestly I like this movie, but I wish it was longer. My friend says it reminds him of 300 (which of course the producers were from 300 and I have not watched that movie yet!). We both agreed that this movie was much better that the movie Clash of the Titans. :) Have you watched this yet?? I have yet to see Puss in boots. I want to go watch it soon-ish.

Project 365: #158 No shave November - Mustache for a cause

So November is a very special month. :) Not only is it Lung cancer awareness month it is also Movember or No shave November and many manly men out there do not shave their beard/mustache/facial hair for the month of November (they shave it on the 1st of November and grow them out throughout November). It supports the awareness for prostate cancer and raise awareness for men's health issues i.e. depression. Last year Movember also merge with Tacheback to raise awareness for testicular cancer. TV Date: The Pillars of the Earth || Game of Thrones

So ever since I can remember, I am pretty much into shows or miniseries with the mid evil theme. From the Three Musketeers to Robin Hood, to The legend of King Arthur and the knights of the round table, to Merlin. There's also the story of King Henry VIII (if I remember correctly) and there was also Anne Boleyn (which I gotta say is really interesting and sad), and Queen Elizabeth. Funny thing about that I have not seen the Tudors yet. That will be on my list.

So when CLK's sister told me about Game of Thrones (I didn't know it existed even after my friend obsessively tweeted about it on Twitter for weeks) I decide...meh why not. I'll give it a go. :D The opening theme kinda scare me (don't ask me why and I always skip it) and....I loved it! Even though I hate the torturous torture they do it floats my boat.

And this month, November, they started showing The Pillars of the Earth on tv and I was like, WHA--? How come I haven't seen this before? I have always wanted to read this book by Ken Follett but I have never gotten the book and thought why not just watch it? I know ~~most~~ people say books are better than shows or series but I love watching if I can. :)

The opening of pillars of the earth reminds me of the opening theme for game of thrones...somewhat similar.

So have any of you seen or read The pillar of the earth by Ken Follett?

November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month

November is lung cancer awareness month. White ribbons apparently represents this awareness. :) Let's all spread this awareness around. It is also pancreatic cancer awareness month (in the US).

Early this morning I got a text message from my girl friend telling me one of our good friend's father passed away yesterday. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 4 months ago. Condolences to him and his family.

Project 365: #157 Bubble tea time!

While we were out at the mall last weekend we got some bubble tea~! :D It is always a treat. I didn't actually get bubble tea, I got vanilla mocha :P. I can't stand some of the flavor of the bubble tea. So I went with something I knew I was going to love, coffee. XD

I wanted to post a picture of my sister but she said she look bad so just bubble tea picture this time. :)

I went out with my sister last weekend looking for a present for my mom and we stopped by the grocery store and I bough some junk food =____='' which I kinda regret.

1. Well it is junk food, which is a no-no.
2. The mochi thingy I bought had marshmallow filling, and if you know me well enough I HATE marshmallow O__o
3. I could use that money for something else. Like really.

What I bought:

1. Strawberry flavored mochi (blehh...I didn't like it)
2. Pucca chocolate filled crackers (2 boxes but I ate 1 already)
3. Shapes barbecue flavor (I bought pizza flavor which I ate too :P)
4. Candies (blue raspberry and acai berry sours flavor)
5. KitKat :D

Project 365: #155 My little orphan update

As you can see she is coming along well. I have no definite name for her yet (it is a her). I don't know her characteristics yet since she is still limping and all but she is very spoil and attached. My dad wants to name her Jumper (after my other cat that died last month) but I don't want to give her a reused name. :) She is unique in her own way.

She has started to walk again but her legs still hurts. All in all, she is doing well and learned how to use the litter :). I will keep you up to date. She is 5 days old (since the day I found her). Oh one thing she likes: blanket/towel.

Project 365: #154 Presents

Today (12th November) is my mummy's birthday :D And tomorrow is my daddy's birthday. We didn't celebrate like crazy cause my mom had her school dinner tonight so we couldn't go out for dinner and my family had some gather for prayers for our late great grandmother. But my sister did bake cookies (and they are delicious!!) and we got presents for my parents :).

I have this massive headache (or might be migraine) at this moment. >.<'' This happened last night too. And I do not know what happened or what I ate. I have prematurely concluded that red meat has been the culprit but I have no evidence whatsoever to conclude this findings. OMG THERE'S A HUGE LIZARD CLIMBING ON MY WALL!!!!

Sorry for that little distraction. I really am grossed out by them. What if they were walking across the ceiling and it fell on me??!?!! O___o I would be totally scared but I would be sleeping too soundly to notice. FML.

Ok so anyway, this massive headache, pounding in my head like a Chinese drum is literally stopping me from ~~looking~~ staring at this computer screen and sharing some pictures I took of my friend getting married today. =___='' I might have to finish this when my headache disappears.

Project 365: #153 Orphan

On holidays or weekends I tend to wake up earlier than I would've like. Like yesterday for instant. I had to, HAD TO wake up to the meow of a kitten. I think I am part cat cause I am very sensitive to cats meow =___= which kinda sucks if you ask me! At 5 freakin' 30. 0__o So yeah, it was pretty dark and I checked outside the balcony and no cat, just meow or echos. I thought I was dreaming. So I tried to go to bed but...mehehehehe Facebook got the best of me. 0__o FML

Isn't it adorable?? :D This was the first picture I took before it went to sleep. You see, that cats meow I heard wasn't just me dreaming, it was real. And my mom actually called me (on my phone and we live in the same house!) and said there was a cat outside in the cold. It had been raining the whole night and this little thing was out there, in the cold. Poor thing.

After burrito wrapping it in a towel it was warm and fell asleep. A long sleep. I guess it was in shock cause 12 hours after that he went crazy and scared. It's like it just saw me for the first time. O__o Crazy cat! But now I am happy to report she is safe (nameless as of now) and warm, poop and all. Although we think she might have a broken leg(s) cause she can't walk. : ( Me is sad.

I just saw that the have brought forward Grimm from the weekends to Friday. :D But it also means that it will be on the same day as Supernatural. I am beyond excited!! Grimm is starting to grow on me and I was excited to have 2 shows with fairy tale themes and supernatural elements of course!!

I like this show but I hope it doesn't get out of control like Lost.

I have not watched ~~Heart~~ Hart of Dixie or Suburgatory but they look pretty interesting. I might just start soon. My list of shows keep growing everyday :P

Movie Date: Terminator Salvation

I am late on this terminator bandwagon. I was actually getting tired of the terminator movies :P that's why I waited so long to watch this movie. I thought it was gonna bad but it was not so bad. At least Arnold Schwarzenegger (OMG this is the first time I spell his name!) wasn't in the movie. It was getting kinda ...old. I did not pay so much attention to the story actually since I did not know what or who was who but I sorted things out at the end.

I like the half and half man. :) He is awesome. :D What do you think of the Terminator movies, especially this one?

Movie Date: Hachiko - A dog's story

I have heard of the tale of this dog before I knew there was a movie about it. Before playing the movie and watching it, I knew I was gonna cry. It is a story about a professor who found an abandoned dog on a train platform and the bond they have. He died one day and the dog keeps coming to the train station to wait for him, for 10 years.

Seriously...I cried. OMG it is so sad. =___=

I wish my cats would wait for me when I get home. Although they do wait for me because the want food. I think there's something about Richard Gere in this movie that makes it so...believable and sad. In Japan, they erected a bronze statue at the train station (I can't remember where now. Edit: It's at Shibuya Station and every April the people hold a special celebration in honor of the Akita) at the place he use to sit and wait.

I think the part when I knew he was going to die is the saddest. Have you watch this movie?

The last day of Horror-ween

So ~~October~~ Pinktober have come and gone. It is sad really. Also some happy times through out this month. :) And I have been a lazy blogger. I just felt so deflated I needed some recharge time!! I hope I have recharged enough and my camera ran out of memory. I told it to take it easy and walked, but it RAN! LOL So I, who is a lazy bumm, will have to remove and delete all pictures in the hope that I will post them here. :P I will...sooner or later. Sooner is what you should hope for.

Before I move on to November, I want to wish everyone a HAPPY HORRORWEEN!! I saw in the news that the east coast of US was snowing. SNOWING! on Halloween?? what they call a 'rare' snowstorm? So I guess for all you folks out there who wanted to dress as Santa or Mrs Clause this would probably be the appropriate time. :P Now who says you can never be Santa on Halloween? Maybe creepy Santa >:D

Hey there peeps. I have been away for too long and promise that I will make up for it. :) As you know my cat went missing 2 weeks ago. I'm sad to report that there is no good news. On the other hand, this morning I saw Kick (Jumper's mom) playing with a little mouse. I am sad to say that it did not make it but they had their moment staring at each other. It was funny, too bad I didn't have my camera with me to take some awesome video. Well I will leave you with a picture of something random I am sure. Oh better yet, fall :D at CLK's house. Beautiful I might add. Damn I wish I was there. Fall is my second favorite season next to winter. :D Yes I love winter!!! XD

I have been trying to occupy myself with other things that worry about Jumper. I have been searching for some upcoming movies and trailers. Some are pretty awesome but I don't know if I will get disappointed. Trailers can be pretty deceiving, which is why I try not to watch them. Sometimes I admit I watch movies because of the starting line up. Or if Leonardo Dicaprio or Johnny Depp is in them XD. Who doesn't like Leo and Johnny? Or shall I say Captain Sparrow :P

Tower Heist (Nov 4)

The line up is pretty awesome. Ben Stiller is one pretty funny dude if he don't try too hard, Casey Affleck also acts in this, Matthew Broderick, Eddie Murphy (I love him as donkey and that zebra in Madagascar :P), Tea Leoni and Gabourey Sidibe to name a few. I am hoping this is gonna be good. The trailer is pretty hilarious though. I love the part where Matthew Broderick character says 'I'm gonna be a male whore' (I think that's what he said :P).

Puss in Boots

Just plain and simple - who doesn't love puss in boots? :D

Three Musketeers (Oct 2011)

I love anything related to the Three musketeers, movie wise. My all time favorite movies are The man in the iron mask (1998 which Leonardo DiCaprio acted in - of course!) and the 1993 film The three musketeers - with the cast of Charlie Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland, Chris O'Donnell, Oliver Platt and Tim Curry (can't believe Charlie Sheen is in this one, didn't know until I wiki it haha). I think that movie was my number one favorite until I got my hands on The man in the iron mask. I am hoping this newer version does not disappoint me because they can change the whole plot of the story but they can't change the three musketeers. Definitely looking forward to this one.

John Carter (2012)

I don't know why but this movie reminds me of Prince of Persia and I still haven't watched that movie yet. I want to so bad now.

The Hobbit (2012)

If you were crazy about LOTR then you do not want to miss this. One more movie to put on my list. I can't wait to see this and to see Peter Jackson's magic.

The Avengers (2012)

I could not find the official trailer but I am beginning to love this one. I have not seen Thor yet (I'm just so caught up with things). Thor, come to mama!

Transformer 4: Rise of Galvatron (2012)

Apparently there is the 4th installment of this movie. I hope this one is much more better than the last. I heard Michael Bay might not direct this one. We will see.

The Sleeping Beauty (2011)

This movie looks so wrong yet so intriguing. I don't think they will play this at the cinema but I am sure gonna find out a way to watch this.

I have waited a long time for the next Underworld movie and it has come. I have seen the trailer and psyched myself before watching it. I don't know if I like the trailer. ...currently sitting in the dark, well semi darkness. I have my nifty little Japanese house shaped lamp providing the only source of light in my dark room. The light fixture in my room needs replacing...the bulb I mean. This main one has been going crazy for the past few days. If I turn on the switch and let is sit a lil longer, it might and I say might just turn on. =____='' I need to replace the bulb but I am way too short to change them even with the little ladder. I should've just let CLK replace them for me when he was around. See now that's one good use of tall men and why I love taller men, taller than me anyway :D. Or at least have to be more than 5'6".HAHAHA...

Anyway, this sitting in the dark business isn't helping my already clouded eyesight O_o, me looking like a panda or 4-eye I should say. This will probably make my glare (eye glare?? or whatever you call it) soaring to the roof! This call for another appointment to the eye doctor. FML. And I am really worried about Jumper (who was in my previous blog post). He won't eat, he growls at me (and he never does! he is the sweetest) and he won't let me hold him. :( I am going to have to take him to the vet tomorrow. *sigh*

I am feeling slightly disturbed too. So much for some girls night tonight.

The coming of a new year

Ello there mate. So yesterday was my birthday (hooray)...we or I didn't do anything special or grand if you are wondering. I just had some nice quiet me time with CLK and talked on skype (not that I can haul him anywhere...) and spent time with my babies. It was alright and........... we made pizza :D. It feels like every year we have pizza on my birthday :P. Not that I'm complaining. I love pizza! I will show you a delish pizza picture ...just because I love you guys.

Hahaha... =___='' and my mom gave me a pink hand bag. Well what do you know, it seems to fit in my go-pink theme for the month of October, but I don't really wear pink very much. I am not a big pink fan - although this one is more of a dark salmon color, deep pink I guess not those striking pink you can see from 10000 miles away. :) I will have to take a pic and show you guys.

And today is actually CLK's birthday. :D Happy birthday baby! (not that he reads my blog but it's the thought that counts :P). I thank you for being in my life and made me realize I can be a much better person inside out and for loving me for ME :D It was a huge thing to find out that our birthday was just hours apart. Since I always envy my parents (their birthdays falls on the 12th and 13th of November) for having birthdays so close together, I feel so special now. *insert cheesy comments or gagging sounds* Haha...so October is a huge birthday month for me (so is September and November...eh seems like every month after August) because all or most I should say of my friends, people I come to know recently and favorite celebrities birthdays falls in October. :D Aren't we all a special bunch? ;)

So anyone who is celebrating their birthday this month, I want to wish a very happy birthday and wonderful year ahead. May your year bring prosperity and joy and happiness. And we share breast cancer awareness month! Oh yeah~

October is breast cancer awareness month!

And I am happy to share it with my birthday month. Yay for October! I am an October baby. This month I will try to wear something pink everyday. Which is kinda hard since I don't a whole lot of pink in my wardrobe. I need to find a pink ribbon soon. :) My immediate family have never been diagnosed with breast cancer but my aunt in my extended family passed away due to breast cancer. I have friends that had lumps removed from their breasts but fortunately they were non-cancerous.

I hope all you beautiful ladies out there gets your breast check out everyday if possible, by you or your doctor and get you mammogram done. You can even let your boyfriend/husband do the breast exam ;) *wink wink*. Spread the cause and stay beautiful.

Movie Date: Abduction

2 days ago my cousin and I decided to go watch a movie on a whim. Since no one else wanted to go with (it was a working and school night) we decided to watch the 1045pm show. Out of all the movies (which was not many available that night) we decided to watch Abduction. I was drawn to it because of Taylor Lautner (admitting now). After watching the movie, I seriously wished I chose Dream House instead. At least it will keep me shivering until we reach home (which was almost 1am).

It was very disappointing, and kinda sad. Wish the movie had more awesomeness to it. I can't decide whether the movie was going too slow or too fast, probably both and the ending was kind of a let down. One the good side, I get to spend time with my cousin (whom I rarely see) and took tons of pictures with the Johnny English movie poster. :P Will probably do a separate post on that.

Project 365: #144 Farewell Party

A few weeks ago, my sister and I were invited to a family friends (my sister's friend but she's so adorable, funny and honest to the bones that everyone just love her and her family!) farewell party. Our friend Tila was going to further her studies in the UK so she asked some of close friends and family for a lil dinner party.

Her place is awesome. It is unique and I love the decor and ambiance. The house itself is confusing because there are so many doors that leads to rooms :P it's like Alice in Wonderland. She had her place decorated Balinese style with candles and the food was amazing (as always). Let's just let the photos do the talking :D

TV Date: The Lying Game, Ringer and The Secret Circle

As I was reading some of my awesome blogger friends blogs came across a post about new shows coming up. Two which stood out the most were Ringer and The Secret Circle. I am sure you must've watched the pilot for both. Ringer starring Sarah Michelle Geller (I wanted to write Sarah Jessica Parker..haha what's up with that?) is about a pair of identical twin that lives totally different lives.

This actually reminds me of another series, The Lying Game. It has that 'same' concept, identical twins thing and one trying to be the other kinda theory. The lying game is based on the book by Sara Shepard the same author that wrote Pretty Little Liars. You know how I love my Pretty Little Liars and I am beginning to like The Lying Game too. Oh yeah, one major turn on "hottie" by the name of Blair Redford who plays Ethan Whitehorse, oh so totally hot. He was also in Switched at Birth. Then he was no more. So totally worth the time ;).

Now onto the secret circle, I was attracted to it because Britt Robertson was starring in it. She played Lux in Life Unexpected which was cancelled I believe. I like that show. Oh yeah Kristoffer Polaha who played Baze in that show is also in Ringer. If you haven't watch it yet, this show is about witches and warlocks I suppose. It kinda reminds me of Charmed and The Covenent in some sort of way. I actually enjoyed the pilot and can't wait for the next episode. I have to say I thought I would like Ringer more but Ringer is kinda boring to me. The Secret Circle is much more intriguing. I hope both keeps clinging on for awhile. And I can't wait for my Supernatural to come back, soon! Oh and have you watched the latest season of Vampire Diaries? I dunno why I never got into it...

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!

How happy am I that my violin is getting new strings??? VERY happy! It all happened when the violin somehow went out of tune cause the string were slipping (I do not know the correct term for that sorry) and my friend had to tune it. She complained that my string was rusty (yes indeed it was but they still sound good!) and said I should overhaul it (change new strings). Being a procrastinator that I am I do not know when I will swing by the music store (I have never been there) and she was nice enough to ask for a set of new strings for me. Oh I love you so deary! Now, I need these suckers on my violin.

The strings that are on the violin are the original ones (except for the A string cause it snapped years ago). It must have been bought together with it (or it may have been older) and that was almost 10 years ago or more. My dad bought it in Germany and I am very proud of it (and also CLK is half German? XD hahahahahahaha). I would love to get a new one hopefully soon, somewhere in the future. Another love for another time. (I would insert a picture of my violin but I think it has made its way into my blog one time or another. Will have to take another picture of the before and after overhaul :D).

Yet again, don't be fooled by the serene sleeping cat. This is the Destroyer! He wrestled with the towel for 5 minutes before retreating to a beauty sleep. He also love chasing the other cats (who are not scared half to death at the sight of him!) and killed (almost) all the lizards that have been inhibiting the space, chased after cockroaches (which I always find upside down aka dead) and have acquired an apprentice (yet to be introduced). See how much damage such a cutie pie can do?

Every Eid, my aunt would make soto. Her soto is the most mouth watering soto I have ever tasted (not that I taste a bunch of sotos all over the place) seriously delicious. :) This is chicken soto or soto ayam (Googling this very moment...). It is a variation of an Indonesian cuisine (read here). Other names for it: sroto, tauto or coto.

It is kinda like a family tradition that this is served every Eid morning :) and you don't want to miss it! It is delicious.

Soto ayam is chicken in a yellow spicy broth with lontong, nasi empit, ketupat (rice compressed by cooking wrapped tightly in a leaf, then sliced into small cakes), or vermicelli, commonly found in Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. (Wikipedia)

These are suppose to be ketupat. The rice is supposedly wrapped in woven palm leave pouch and boiled but since this is the 21st century, things gets to be less complicated (and making the leave pouch takes skills man) they invented ketupat in a pastic casing. Tadah. Problem solved and easy to cook. Although the art of ketupat making is diminishing.

Honestly I don't watch Batman movies. But, I love this movie. I think Heath Ledger's character is freakin' awesome. I never knew why I never watched this earlier and I bet everybody wanted to watch that movie when it came out. Watching it makes me despise the Joker, and it makes me wanna punch him in the face. It is sad that he left the world at an early age.

I think this has to be best Batman movie out there, making me think other Batman movies could not compete with this one. Maybe it's Heath Ledger's final performance, maybe it's just an awesome story like we would never know. This movie came out in 2002 and I just started college then. I remembered wanting to watch it but never got to watch it until the late 2004. I love this movie. And I have a CD to prove it and have watched it more than once. ;) When they were playing it on my cable tv 2 nights ago I couldn't pass it up. I gotta watch it again. Something about drums and college/school setting makes me love it. Like Remember the Titans (have you watch that movie?)

I know a lot of people may not like this type of movies but I do, especially when it is based on true story/event (I know this wasn't) but don't you just love the music? :D And I love Nick Cannon.

I was looking and reading blogs this few days (cause I was feeling crappy) and stumble upon this video on YouTube. I love braids, and since I have quite long hair, I think braids are a must to master. I just love this video cause it teaches you the different types of braids. There are more than just the regular braid, french braid, and fishtail braid. I have tried to do a 5 strand braid but I got lost but this video makes it sound so simple. :D You should check it out if you are a braid freak like me ;).

Last Saturday, my sister, her bf, my brother and I went to the movies. Since NO ONE wanted to watch Harry Potter (I cried inside!!) we went to watch Captain America instead. I wanted myself to hate this movie, and almost convinced myself that it was gonna be bad! - but - =___='' I actually liked it! LOL I was pretty sad at myself cause I thought I would enjoy watching Harry Potter more. Sigh**

Mind you I was clueless about Captain America. I have heard of it, I don't think I have ever watch the cartoon version (if any, I am more of the X-Men geek XD) and convinced myself I would not like it. Damn Captain America has a oogle-licious body. Then my sister's bf went on and on about this being the first avenger (I have heard of this but never actually seen it, you know, The Avenger) so I was like *light bulb switched on* ohhhhhh.... ~~Earlier this year~~ I checked it was last year (I did not write about it, weird) I watched Ironman 2 after failing to watch the first one, which I did afterwards and I enjoyed it. And Thor came out, but I skipped it, thinking I would not liked it then realized I should've watched Thor before watching Captain America. They really should have a label on the movie - "Watch Thor before proceeding to watch Captain America".

I actually liked this movie. The hero was awesome, there was some funny scenes and I totally dig old, WWII movies, all in one. Amazing huh? I still have not watched Harry Potter, I am still crying inside. Also The Green Lantern, something about The Justice League being made? Please tell me if I am getting my facts wrong. The Green Lantern is too cartoony for me to watch, although I adore Ryan Reynolds - sigh*. Maybe I will wait a little longer.

I need to watch Thor now, have anyone watched it? Do you like it? Did you watch Captain America yet?

Movie Date: Transformer 3 Dark of the moon

Took my sisters and brother to watch Transformer 3 a few weeks back, before my sister, A left for India. I had mixed feeling about the movie. I actually enjoyed the action part but I don't really care for the lovey, dovey part, I feel like it was pointless.

My sisters on the other hand thought it was boring. My brother liked it though. I wish there was more action in the movie, wonder if there is a fourth installment? I don't know if I liked Megan Fox's character better or Rosie Huntington-Whiteley better, I wish they had more roles than just act pretty. Patrick Dempsey was in it, I think he has a pretty awful role thought, I keep imagining him in Grey's Anatomy. *sigh*

Anyway, I would give this movie a 6/10. It was a pretty interesting movie, it didn't put me to sleep. I think the story was cut short...this was a pretty long movie too, 157 minutes. :) Have you watched this movie yet? Did you like it?

Review: Rimmel Extra Super Lash Waterproof Mascara

I was given the chance to review a mascara from Rimmel and was very excited to be reviewing this mascara. I for one have never tried anything from Rimmel and have only heard of mix reviews of their products from YouTube gurus. Two, I don't really spend a lot of money on mascara because I don't know if it is all the hype, so having this opportunity I was pumped.

This stay-put mascara is fully waterproof, but is easily wiped away with eye make-up remover. It's new pack boasts an electric blue Union Jack making it extremely striking and pop.

The tube is black with a blue Union Jack on it, personally I liked the coloured mascara tubes Rimmel has, it would make it stand out more among my other black tube mascara.

I have been using this mascara for about a week now and I am really impressed. I am not a mascara junkie and I am not very picky with my mascara other than it has to be waterproof. This mascara is true to its description. It is very waterproof because after washing my face and it does not budge. This mascara lasts for more than 6 hours too, which is a plus for me because nights when I do shows, I need a long lasting mascara that does not smudge.

My first impression of the mascara before I put it on is the formula, it was kinda dry. I was hoping that the mascara would not dried out within weeks but so far so good. After a few days of wearing it, I actually like the formula because it dries pretty fast which means less mistake. I do not believe in lengthening mascara but this mascara changed my mind. When putting this on my lashes, I can see that it lengthen with each coat. I am one of those lazy girls and hate using eye lash curler. Even without it, I can see a difference in my lashes. The more coat I put on the longer my lashes looks. For me, it does not seem to thicken my lashes. It separates the lashes too giving it a whispy look, which for me was a nice change. It also doesn't clump even after 2 coats.

Overall this Rimmel mascara is pretty impressive. It lengthens my lashes, and is very waterproof. It doesn't smudge on me and last more than 6 hours which is a plus. This mascara is black and I don't think it comes in any other color. I wish it did because I prefer funky coloured mascara :D. I would definitely love to see it in green, blue and red. I don't like to apply a lot of mascara, this is after just one coat.

Project 365: #115 C is for ....

Candy!!! XD and CLK ....ngehehehe. So anyway on my mini adventure to the mainland, I stumble upon this wonderful, magical and sweetly delicious store - Sticky! (at least I think that's the name...gosh I didn't even take a picture of the store!!) 0__o Fail!

So anyway, I was talking to CLK Sticky candy being a great door gift for a wedding/birthday/baby shower, etc, since you can customize it to your preference!! Don't take my idea!!! :P They had a hefty amount of samples to try and keep refilling it. The store was somewhat crowded and I almost got 2 glass jars of the candy but didn't. I did get to taste free candy :D And sadly, I did not take any pictures of them making the candy at the store! =____= there was too many people squishing and kids pushing...making me feel like running out of the store. I did take some not so awesome picture of the candy in their jars tho. :) Oh and they were DELICIOUS! Oh if you didn't know, they are homemade rock candy :D

My mom is on a makeover phase, which means rearranging the house, which is crazy! My parents are reupholstering the leather seats from white-ish grey to dark brown, and it will take about a month. I am excited to see how it will turn out. :D So this is the living room now.

I actually like the roomy feel of the living room more than having couches and seats there. It has a Japanese feel :D

I just got home from my 5 days mini vacation and have not look through all the pictures so hopefully I have some posts with pictures soon!!! ^^, Hope everyone have a good weekend!

MIA: Mini vacation & a wedding

So I will be away this weekend and hopefully I can get on Monday or Tuesday for an update. :) My bestie, my course mate, my ex-housemate is getting married! I am beyond excited. When I was in KL in February she ~~begged~~ asked me to be one of 10 girls that will accompany her on her wedding day and specifically asked me us to attend her wedding (us meaning CLK and I). Unfortunately CLK was leaving after a couple of days of our meet up and it was up to me to fulfill her wishes. And here I am, ~~packing~~ blogging away about me leaving tomorrow for the wedding. :D

10 years ago I met her, she was this very energetic girl and very popular among the guys. I was jealous! Kidding :P We were in different classes and section so we did not get to know each other until my 3rd year when we shared a house. It was friend at first sight. :D We have been friends ever since. We were like a pea in a pod, always together and because she had transportation and all the other girls we jealous of us, LOL kidding again! but they were probably! :P Haha I joke. I had some rough patches with some girls but they are all forgotten. Well some anyway, girls right, cats fight and all, bla bla bla.

So yeah it will probably be close to 10 years now that I have known her and never did I believe the wedding would come this soon. Less than a year ago it seem so foreign and we both were skeptical about it. Fortunately she met a handsome, dashing (and tall), funny and amazing guy that she is marrying, not once, not twice but three times!! Technically I suppose :P never mind. I will have to blog about that later. :D

So my dear friend, thank you for helping me through those years, our ups and downs, our fights and laugh and constantly getting into trouble and playing in the rain, you taking care of me when I was sick and me of you :) our battles with teachers and bitchy girls, you will be a wife (already are!) soon. :) I could not be happier. Here to many more years of friendship and companionship. And you have to come to my wedding now! :P I love you like my sister.

I miss our good times. Welcome to a new chapter in your life. :)

If you are an Idol fan you would probably know the story and know this guy. Chris Medina, I did not follow the Idol after they announced the top singers and if I remember correctly Chris didn't make it to the finals - do correct me if I am wrong. We all know Scotty won which I did not expect! but yes he did :). Through the AI audition Chris's story was one if not the most saddest I can remember. The woman he loves and wanted to marry was involved in a car accident just before they were suppose to wed, and this song is dedicated to her. Every time I listen to it, it makes me cry. I didn't even know this movie existed, my dearest sister told me about it. It's a story of an assassin kid/girl who was pretty awesome. :) The movie is kinda weird and slow and confusing. It was pretty good though, not great as I hope it was going to be. I wish it was great, I want it to be great. Cause that kid is awesome. :D At the end, it was a lil crappy. I have not posted many food pictures lately...at least not as much as I use to, so this is my first June food pictures!! Had some girl time with my cousin and since I had dinner I decided to try this drink, it's awesome! but too sweet for me. I am not a very sweet person, unless it's ice cream, chocolate and candies XD. I also had some dumplings, and one of my dumplings looks sad, or maybe it was a Siamese dumpling...hehe. I miss girls night out.

Movie Date: Red Riding Hood

Awhile ago (maybe last year?) I mentioned I wanted to watch this movie, or was it that I didn't think I would like it because it is so Twilight-ish? Don't get me wrong I like Twilight but not crazy about it. A few days ago I got to watch Red Riding Hood, the new version. I like the Red Riding Hood, story version where little girl goes to grandma finds a wolf, huntsman kills it, you know the works. My friend watched this movie when it came out and said it was good. So..I gotta watch it! When someone (or the rest of the world) tells you something is good, you wanna get on the 'is-good' bandwagon. I got on it and almost fell on my face.

I watched it and the guys were pretty oogle-able but it is not a must watch movie for me. It was okay for me like any other love story. I don't know why my friend said it was a must watch. She must really like the guys that was in the movie. XD IMDb gives it 4.9/10 so yeah...I wanted it to be a great movie but it kinda disappoint me. I wish it was better. But now I want that red cloak. Did you watch this?

Movie Date: Megamind

So I have heard countless of people saying that I must watch this movie. Megamind - even CLK said it was good. So I did. And....I guess it was alright. I must say I love Despicable me more. Cue "whaaaaaat?"

OMG I love this scene, my sister and I still laugh every time we watch this. XD I like Megamind but not as much as this movie. :) Oh, and my favorite part:

"I am calling it, the black mambaaaaaaa..." LOL This is the most memorable scene to me :D I love minion, and coincidently I love the minion in Despicable me :P

Movie Date: Sorcerer's Apprentice

I almost did not want to watch this movie. One, because it has Nicholas Cage in it, two, because it has Nicholas Cage in it. I know right, I have very good points of not watching it. Since the disappointment of Season of the Witch (did I post that one?). I hope no one went to watch that movie (raise hand: I did!) it actually suck, it suck bad.

IMDb rates it 6.2 out of 10 which I guess is not bad. I think I have heard people talk about it being a somewhat flop movie so I was skeptical on watching it but after watching it I would give it a thumb up, just one thumb. Maybe 3 out of 5 popcorn. :D I should make a popcorn score :P. Idea flowing in....

It has its funny moments - which is a good thing because if it didn't I think I would not watch this movie. In my opinion it lacks substance, that oomph that makes you wanna see it again and again, because I won't see this again but it was entertaining. :) It is a Disney movie after all.

We need more witch movie I think, like Hocus Pocus. :D That movie is rad! and I watched it a few months ago, never gets old. Oh here is Hocus Pocus, just if you are wondering :D I couldn't find a trailer for it though so this will have to do.

Sorry the lighting is pretty bad, it was pretty hot out when I took these. It actually is true to what is advertise on the box, and I am really surprised. It is yummy, of course but I don't know if I will be purchasing them anymore. I like the dark chocolate filling, mmmm it was choco heaven :D.

The downside is, they come in soooooooooo many flavors. :P I hate making decisions. There is lychee flavor, and blueberry, strawberry, white chocolate, etc, etc, I am gonna have to show you sometimes. :D These snacks are evil....

Movie Date: Beastly

I came upon this movie while searching for something to watch, and well I loved the trailer. :D I have watched it and wish it had a longer story line. Is there a guy out there like that? I want one! I was watching it half way and talking to CLK when he pointed out that it is a modern Beauty & the Beast story. I was like O. M. G. Duh, why didn't I see that? :P Funny thing is I didn't know it came out here, guess I just missed it. XD I am glad I watched it :). Did you watch this movie? It is kinda like a tween romance thingy but I enjoy tween romance. :D No, not Twilight.

It came out last year (in the states) I think, and its alright. I guess I just love me some chick flick. Vanessa Hudgens and Mary-Kate Olsen star in this movie, and no, no Nicholas Cage. ;)
