Project 365: #144 Farewell Party

A few weeks ago, my sister and I were invited to a family friends (my sister's friend but she's so adorable, funny and honest to the bones that everyone just love her and her family!) farewell party. Our friend Tila was going to further her studies in the UK so she asked some of close friends and family for a lil dinner party.

Her place is awesome. It is unique and I love the decor and ambiance. The house itself is confusing because there are so many doors that leads to rooms :P it's like Alice in Wonderland. She had her place decorated Balinese style with candles and the food was amazing (as always). Let's just let the photos do the talking :D

I don't know why but the guy wanted to pose with me while I was stocking food XD

Project 365: #83 Anniversary Dinner

Last Saturday, my granduncle celebrated his wedding anniversary and my cousin's birthday by having a 60's theme dinner at Riverside Majestic Hotel (too bad it was too dark and raining for me to take a picture of the hotel itself). It was a rather annoying night for me (and I am somewhat annoyed at this moment) but I manage to get my butt over there. There was a rather large (family) crowd, and I didn't take a whole lot of pictures because my battery died during the dinner. And no food pictures I actually do have food pictures, massive ones :D. By the way, the food wasn't very interesting nor was it very very delicious but it wasn't that bad either :D

Here's a look I did. It turned out better than expected, although I look greyish? I don't usually put on a lot of make up, this was a lot for me. I wanted to do a bright look but at the end decided to look up a tutorial on Edie Sedgwick on YouTube and try (try is the word here) to recreate the look. I thought it turned out pretty decent. I didn't take an up close picture of my face, because I am conscious like that :P.

Project 365: #73 A dinner with the crazy musicians

So last week (or so) I was invited to a dinner by my friend. It was for our jazz orchestra group the week after our youth day show. I was pretty surprised since they never really do 'dinner' just for fun or an occasion. I almost decided not to go but I went anyway, since my very mature lil cousin will be there. He turned 11 last Sunday (27th March).

I of course had to take a ton of pictures, especially of food. Which I might add I can't share with you at the moment. I love the look of the deco of the hotel and lately CLK have been pushing me to get my passion of decorating a boost.

Simple decoration makes me smile, like this flower. I did wonder if it was real or fake. They didn't want me to poke my fingers in it, but I am pretty sure they are real flower. :D

We had dinner at this Chinese restaurant. We also had a room all to ourselves although it was kind of a waste since a lot of people couldn't make it that night. Wish I had a date to bring...but no, so I sat with my lil cousin. :)

Gossiping before the food arrives.

The heel my bubs bought me before we depart *sob sob* I am in ♥♥♥ with.

Had to take this picture in the toilet, it was so pretty and clean. And loving the tile walls.

My uncle said this is ginseng chicken soup, which tasted pretty nice.

Me and my date :)

What I wore that night, it's pretty in-the-moment put together. Although I planned on wearing red socks and the sock got caught in something and ripped :-/ at least I found I have the same identical pair :D yay!! Might wear that for my family 60s theme dinner/get together. I hope I can upload a ton of pictures of that night. :)

Project 365: #68 We don't cook!

When my sister is at work, and my dad is away, my mom, my brother and I usually don't cook. So we eat out. :) Just simple food and no work! XD We like to go to this lil shack/eatery near where we live. It has the biggest glass you will ever find, no restaurant in the city serve their drinks in bigger glasses I tell you. So typical lazy night with my lil family.

I don't remember this but I think it was fried noodle. It can't really beat the fried noodle me and CLK had at the other place, but the drinks, this place wins hands down!

Bing! anyone?? (with pics!)

I have been having cravings lately....tacos, pizza, Italian food in general...and cheesecake, so when Juli was waving a 'hey you flag' earlier today, I had to go in with the swoop! We should definitely hang out!!! And where else would we go but Bing! :)

So...it was our first time at Pullman (together) and wanted to try out the Bing! there...and see if it was as good and the aura is as romantic as the other 3 cafe. My first impression was it was similar but not as romantic as the others. It has its signature orange/brown theme...which I am beginning to like! and there was not a lot of people there (which was a good thing) cause we were looking for a seating with a real nice ambiance with a plug on the wall (since Juli's lappie don't have a functional battery). We were lucky to find a comfy secluded area with a couch, 2 tables, 3 stools and a place for Juli's laptop :D (and that the 2 girls were leaving just as we were eying that spot. I forgot to take a picture of it...but it was secluded from the open space of the cafe...I like. :D

I forgot that my lappie has an embedded webcam...duh~ so we took some pics :D

So anyway overall we love the food!! As always...lasagna was delish! and we decided to share a beef lasagna with tiramisu, while I had my ice blended mocha and Juli had ice blended caramel...funny story about the caramel. XD Best decision of the night was to share dinner...cause it was just the perfect portion. I wasn't too full that I couldn't move from my seat and walk to the car...but just perfect. :D Really good night overall.

And the caramel story. LOL sorry Juli I just gotta tell it! So somehow it just so happen that every time we make our way to eat at Bing! Juli seem to order the same thing: ice blended caramel. So we don't know for sure if it was just last night, or that she just had a blonde moment and only realized it last night, that ice blended caramel isn't coffee....it isn't right???! LOL

Juli :  My drink don't taste like coffee...it taste more like milk shake.

Me :  Well you did have caramel.

Juli looks at me kinda surprised.

Juli :  Did I?

Me laughing at her 'blonde' moment.

Me : YES you always have caramel when we go to Bing!

Juli : But I thought ALL ice blended is coffee.

o.O LOL I don't know...are they??

View from our seats, the deco is very simple and ambiance not as low.

Busy and wifi connection was pretty fast!

Mocha and Caramel

Beef Lasagna *the craving kicks in*

Our dinner (lots of calories in this one!)

A picture under a lamp post :P

We can say we've been to all four Bing!s (which reminds me of Chandler Bing :P)
