Guest Blogger: Being able to keep the past behind

Hey lovely people :) Today an awesome friend of mine, Chris (follow him on Twitter if you want to know him better) is doing a guest post for me. Lately I have been lacking in posts and I feel so bad. I am hoping to have guess posts every week if I can or maybe one every month :). I think it would be pretty awesome (and less work for me to think :P hehehe, kidding). Here is some food of thoughts from Chris.

                                                    ......................

I'm sure everyone knows life brings it's surprises every day in life. Sometimes these are to be remembered and some are best to be forgotten. It's almost certainly very easy to see people everyday walk past and judge but next time your surrounded by people you don't usually see spare a thought for each one of them. Every person has scars of regrets and memories of fear they have to carry with them every day. Although some people carry more pain than others I am sure not one person has existed without a significant issues from their perspective.

The problem is however insignificant some of these problems may seem to us to the person these problems can be huge personally and really harm someone's confidence. So what is the answer to forgetting all of life's problems and moving along?

You can't exactly ignore them because then you aren't mending and improving yourself to learn from your previous wrongdoings. The problem is you can't dwell on them forever because regrets can begin to affect your future negatively. So where exactly is the line between these two areas and how hard is it to get there?

I think it depends on you as a person; around the point when regrets don't keep you awake at night and at the point where you can accept what you've done wrong, keeping the past in the past. You need to see how even if you wish whatever happened in the past had never happened, at the end of the day you can only become stronger from your past. I guess it's up to the individual to the most extent and how willing you are to accept your mistakes and be persistent until you achieve what you've been fighting for.

                                                 .......................

Honestly I feel like I have been there and I have not moved on yet. Maybe I should and look at the bright side, I am still here I can make better decisions and not regret any decisions I have made in the past. I need to move on :) Have you ever come across problems in your life that you regret?

Thank you Chris. This kinda made my day. :)

Thought of the day: Kids say the cutest thing

I use to watch Bill Cosby Kids say the darnest thing. It never cease to make me laugh :). Kids are so adorable, innocent and blunt. XD

"You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget," Jessica - age 8

I think this is so true :)

Project 365: #141 New Strings

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!

How happy am I that my violin is getting new strings??? VERY happy! It all happened when the violin somehow went out of tune cause the string were slipping (I do not know the correct term for that sorry) and my friend had to tune it. She complained that my string was rusty (yes indeed it was but they still sound good!) and said I should overhaul it (change new strings). Being a procrastinator that I am I do not know when I will swing by the music store (I have never been there) and she was nice enough to ask for a set of new strings for me. Oh I love you so deary! Now, I need these suckers on my violin.

The strings that are on the violin are the original ones (except for the A string cause it snapped years ago). It must have been bought together with it (or it may have been older) and that was almost 10 years ago or more. My dad bought it in Germany and I am very proud of it (and also CLK is half German? XD hahahahahahaha). I would love to get a new one hopefully soon, somewhere in the future. Another love for another time. (I would insert a picture of my violin but I think it has made its way into my blog one time or another. Will have to take another picture of the before and after overhaul :D).

He said, she said: Our biggest loser rule

While talking about making homemade chocolate covered strawberries, and chocolate covered raisins and eskimo bars, CLK reminded me our biggest loser rule:

He: Remember our biggest loser rule...

She: There's a rule?

He: Yes, we want to watch the biggest loser and not be in it.

LOL

I love this quote:

Thought of the day

Okay so...I have been thinking about watermarking my photos lately, not that my photos are OMG-amazingly-awesome-that-someone-wants-to-steal-them but they might, right? See being paranoid is a b*tch. Anywho, yeah, I have tried it before but it seems so selfish. =____= That's how I feel about it but not saying that everyone's selfish, just how I think of me. I like watermarks on people's photos, so I might do it? I need to figure out a good way to do it without looking so....bimbo-ish? I mean like, who in their right mind wants MY photos? Right? I am not even that known...LOL

Ok that's all. :D I just needed to say that out loud *errr not so much OUT LOUD* but yeah... What do you think about watermarks in general?

Oh a cute picture for the day (or two, this is my second post today :3 miahahahah).

Kitt says hi! :3

Thought of the day: Snow White

So I am gonna break away from my Project 365 (which I am already wayyyyyyy behind...because my life just get so boring you don't need to know what I do everyday although I will post pictures to make up for all the days missing :D) to talk about my thoughts about Snow White. :)

You know Snow White:

via here

So cute and innocent, with all the cutesy animals in the forest then BAMMM! someone is out to kill her....of course we know what happened...bla bla bla...happily ever after. :) Although you would have to agree with me Prince Charming isn't the most handsome Disney prince. Right? Agreed? No?

via here
Although I think they revamped Prince Charming in later movies...maybe make him more charming? But there is Prince Eric :D Oh Prince Eric...

via Google

Oooo...aaaaa... I think it's that dark hair-blue eye combination that gets me going... 0__o. Then there's Alladin, I think he wasn't so shabby...except maybe his clothes... I mean he is poor...and not a prince even..hmmm.

via here

Oh Aladdin *drools* Then there was Shang, for a dynasty man, pretty hot stuff ...and the body ooooo :P hehehe..Mulan, I like!

via here
And I think Hercules is hot...although he is not a prince, neither was Shang. Hmmm...ok so I am off course here. XD I was talking about Snow White...ahahaha. Ok on to topic. Do you know what's been going on with Snow White?? Movies in the making of course! Duhh... Apparently there will be 2 movies coming out next year, The Brothers Grimm: Snow White (June 29, 2012) and Snow White and the Huntsman (December 21, 2012). So which one do you want to see?

Or whom do you prefer?

via Google

OR

via here

See people, we have a problem in our hands. And not to mention all the awesomness cast in both movies:

The Brothers Grimm: Snow White - Armie Hammer, Julia Roberts
Snow White and the Huntsman - Hugh Jackman (unconfirmed replacing Viggo Mortensen), Charlize Theron
(info from here)

So yeah...I don't know if the trailer for these two are available yet...I can't find them so maybe not. I am curious to see how these two movies live up to the innocent and quirkyness of the Disney movie, they didn't even mention the seven dwarfs...aww, the best part. I can't name all of them...lets try; Dopey, Sneezy, Sleepy, Grumpy, Doc, Happy, and errr...who's the last one? Oh, Bashful. I always am missing the 7th one (and I cheated cause I Googled LOL).

So what are your thoughts for these two movies? I am not really looking forward to watch Bella...ermm Kristen Steward..although she might be a good Snow White but I am looking forward to watch Lily Collins. :) But we shall see!!! I might not see either one...like I did with Rango. Oh Rango =_____=''

Yes I am intimidating you with a huge picture of Johnny Depp Rango.

He said, she said: Hair relationship

While watching The Rachel Ray show with my sister. Camila Alves was on.

CA: Everyone should have a relationship with their hair... (talking about the show Sheer Genius).

He: I guess I don't...that's why it's leaving me. (touch hair)

He said, she said: I am 0.00025

While having a late lunch.

He: I am glad I found you. If we don't work out I will always love you.

She: Ugh don't say that. We will work out. (Pause) If we don't are you going to look again?

He: Nah, I don't think so. I am done looking. You are that one in a million. (Holds hand)

She: But there's still the rest of the million you could find...

He: Yeah but they might not find me attractive, do you know how hard is it to find that one in a million?

Takes out iPod and calculating 1mil/4bil.

He: See, you are 0.00025.

Thought of the day

Before Christmas day, my sisters and I was watching the Scream 2010 award (rerun). I did not watch the whole award when it aired so we sat and watched. We kinda pondered why it was called the 'Scream' award. There was people wearing gory masks, and wearing costumes. (Update: Scream award is an award show dedicated to  the horror, sci-fi, fantasy genres of feature films.)

So after about an hour of watching it and 'aaah', 'ooo' -ing the trophy (which look like a wooden stake) the last award was presented, and we screamed!!!

Then Ryan Reynolds happened. o.O Now I guess we know why it's called the Scream award. XD He won the Scream award for the Most Anticipated Movie for Green Lantern.

Thought of the day

I get pretty difficult now and then, and then I get annoyed at people, especially people around me and keeping things bottled up really just adding injury to pain. Or is it salt to wound. I dunno but yeah I have many of those nights. Usually I just sleep it off, but just being reminded that you are loved usually makes it better. Immediately.

clk: well theres a reason why everyone is amazed that we can handle a long distance relationship
clk: its harder than a typical one
clk: pardon my language but when we are together, its fucking awesome

Saying simple words makes me feel better. :) It make me miss you a whole lot more :-/.

Thought of the day: A smile for your thought

So a couple of mornings ago, I went to the gas station. It was early morning, and most people were busy and in a hurry. I was in a hurry to get into bed (again!) because I was really sleep after watching the football match earlier that morning. My friends knows I love to smile at people, just random people. :) A smile can make someone's day, no matter if you know them or not.

So this particular morning, I went to the gas station behind me was this awfully rude car (driver was overtaking me and it somehow got me a lil pissed). So he pulled beside me. It was an elderly man, reminded me of my late grandfather. I was somewhat angry that he made the move to overtake me but I was in a jubilant mood that morning (since Arsenal just won!!). I actually smiled at this elderly man, he had a lil frown on his face as he got out of the car. I could've been really rude and pouted at him but I didn't.

Getting back to my car, I do what most people do at gas station, pump the gas. And little did I know that bitter looking elderly man actually smiled back at me and asked me how I was that morning. :) That actually made me smile, and we actually chatted for like 2 minutes. And he told me he just took his children to school. He also made a joke about cars and gas. LOL I don't remember what it was but it was funny at the time.

So yeah my point is, a smile can go a long way :). Who knows, someone would want to trade your smile for a thought. <3

Thought of the day

Actually it's more like a story. I was so touched that I actually wanted to cry. It is about this one old Chinese lady that I sometimes see when going to the bank or to the pet store. This old lady is pretty old and walks hunched, and I always see her around dusk.

So today I decided to go to the ATM on the way to my orchestra practice and while I parked I saw 2 cats playing about. After calling out to them, which they completely ignored I saw 2 other cats laying on the grass just minding their own business. They looked adorable, and cuddly and fat and as far as I know they look like strays. I so wanted to take them home. I went about my business and when I came out I saw the old lady, carrying plastic bags and walking ever so slowly. The cats that were just laying there started to meow and followed her. It  amazed me that they would actually follow her. For quite a while the old lady just walked past my car and across the road. Because she was slow it took her longer to cross the road and the cats was still following her and brushing themselves against her leg.

After getting into my car, I made it to the road where the lady crossed and saw that she had stopped and took out some food for the cats from one of the plastic bags. I had to stopped in the middle of the road and watched how the cats sat there patiently waiting for the old lady to give them food. Somehow it made me sad and made me think that they were actually waiting for her to walk pass because they know she had food for them.

It made me think of how smart and sweet and amazing cats are. Dear lady I hope the cats gave you happiness as much as you made them happy everyday.

Cats you never cease to amaze me :)

Thought of the day

The other night while I was video-chatting with CLK, I told him if it was ok for me to go to bed while he sings me a lullaby. He being a typical male can't really sing, he's not awful but ya know what I mean so he started to play me a song, Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven.

That song was one of the first few songs I shared with him a long time ago and when I heard it, it reminded me of Gil Grissom. Like seriously :P.

Me    : Oh, this reminds me of CSI.

CLK : It's Moonlight Sonata, remember you gave me this? Now it's your lullaby.

Me    : But it reminds me of Grissom :D

CLK : Yeah that thing on AXN, I remember that.

Now every time I listen to this it will always reminds me of CLK <3

Thought of the day

Apparently I was suppose to have a video call with CLK on our birthdays but as determine as I was, fell asleep both nights, so last night we decided to do it, what the heck right? Only I didn't have the webcam on at all since it was pretty dark by me so it was all him, a one man show.

Since it was dark I was in bed and he was working. It was pretty cold last night and I was bundle up in my blanket. As soon as got all warm it reminds me of a burrito. And I told him:

Me    : Babe, I am cold...I am all bundle up like a burrito.

CLK : No, you're not a burrito, egg roll. Cause you're Asian.

LOL =__=''

I never thought that it matter. So instead of a burrito I am nick as an egg roll. XDD

Aren't I yummy?~

This is hilarious...
