Let's start this story from the beginning. It is really a short story. A few months ago my sister brought home a little adorable cat, a stray she found in the parking lot. She looks like this.

The first day she got home I fell in love. She was so scared I think because she has been living outside by herself for maybe a month give or take. My sister tried to look for the mama and other siblings but couldn't find them. So I am assuming she was dumped there. She really reminded us of our beloved Jumper (who died about 2 years ago). Everyone loved Jumper, even my parents. That is saying a lot. He was spoiled and sleeps on the couch, on a pillow with a blanket.

So when this little girl came everyone was smitten, even our resident cat (he is spoiled and he knows it). Since our resident cat (who's name is officially James now) was separated with his sister he was lonely. Don't worry his sister found a good home with my brother's friend. He was so happy to find a friend to play with. This happened. Cue photo.

Yes, double trouble. They really became friends on the spot. We were hoping they will get married and have beautiful kids together.

 But a few days after new years I found her lying in the kitchen. She was breathing heavily. It was such a sad sight. The night before I was watching her watch me from the kitchen. I sat with her and she sat on my shoulder. I told her she smelled like cat and said don't try to break the vases in the house. A little after that she died. I honestly don't know what happened. It wasn't even my cat (she was my sister's) but I was so sad, I think because we all really like her, a lot. Till today I don't know what happened to her. I am glad it wasn't a virus since James is still well and I think he misses her too. He isn't as hyper as he use to be and I am going to have to let Mojo cheer him up a bit.

This was taken the day she died. He stayed with her. It was so sad to see him searching for the little cat. James is doing well, he is just a little spoiled now. We will miss you girl cat. I honestly don't know if we ever name her. I just call her 'girl'.

New Year celebration Part II: Birthdays

Two days after our family new year celebration we got a call from my granduncle saying that he is having another party for families at his house. We were wondering if it was just an extension of the new year celebration on Tuesday. No fireworks this time though only good company, food and karaoke sessions. Hahaha which I feel is a must at all these parties. We found out it was also my aunt, uncle and their son's birthday. So it was like a triple whammie. So far new year is not good for me. I need to start eating healthy but since it was a family thing I will give it a slide.

There was a lot more families that turned up I think because the next day is a weekend. It feels like the weekend comes twice for me. So far 2014 is good, I need to be more positive for the next 361 days to come.

Happy New Year!!

Happy new year everyone!!

I have been neglected this blog since last year (can't believe last year was less than 24 hours ago!!) and I hope this year I will be good and blog more. I hope things will look up for me in 2014. I hope many things and I am trying to think more positive for 2014. :) I do hope you guys had a wonderful new year celebration with family, loved ones and friends.

So many things are happening this 2014. Marriages, surprised marriages from friends...family gathering, etc. I can't wait. I hope time don't just past us by like 2013. I feel like 2013 was just breezing through. It is kinda scary. I hope to do things I put off in 2013, change for the better, be a better person over all, get in shape and all kind of good thing.

Wish me luck you guys and I hope to leave you with love notes here everyday :). I can't promise cause I don't want to break it but I will try my hardest.

I am doing the ever so famous 'Fatmumslim' photo a day and hopefully I finish it this month. I have been skipping the last couple of months. Hehe...today is Day 1: Lunch. I did not eat lunch but instead I had a karaoke session with my sister. It was fun, I can't wait to do it again tomorrow. LOL.

Playlist Friday (Saturday Edition) : Louis Armstrong - What a wonderful world

Happy weekend! I wanted to post this Friday but I lost track of time. Since its our (mine and CLK) birthday weekend I thought I would share one of my all time favorite song. I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it when I was about 10. It was in my reading class or something. I can't remember. After listening to it, it just captured my heart.




What a wonderful world by Louis Armstrong has got to be my number 1 favorite song. I wish the world was as simple as the song. We need our wonderful world back. :) Birthday weekend again, can you believe it's been a year since my last birthday!!!? Crazy fast the time flies. I hope you all have  a wonderful weekend. :)

16 Bottle || Photo Challenge

Or bottles in this case...I like to group things in 3s or pairs. I love the bottle shaped like the violin...or cello, however you see it. Definitely something I ant for myself :D. I do not know what was in it or maybe it was just a vase but it could be a bottle right?? Lol...the right one is definitely a bottle though. I am so glad I don't collect bottles :P

9 Three things || Photo Challenge

3 things I don't take off well prior to this photo :P I have been using them for almost a decade so yeah. I don't take jewellery off because I tend to forget to put them back on. The gold bracelet is from my mom on one of my birthday, the silver ring was given to me by my sister on one birthday and the other one is a toe ring. I don't know why I wear a toe ring but I love it.

Funny story, I spent a night at a friend a few years ago and her mom thought I was married cause I was using this toe ring. In Indian culture, you only wear toe ring when you are married. My friend laugh and said it was just an accessory. :D

Playlist Friday: Beatles - She loves you

Happy Friday lovelies!! How is your week so far? I hope they are great. :) I bet everyone is looking forward to the weekends!! I am not...not really.

I missed last week playlist Friday because I was busy (and lazy :P) and tired. Starting last week I have been going to my orchestra practice non-stop and it is hardcore. We have a show coming up and we are playing mostly 60s songs - local ones. One (and only) English song we are playing is by the Beatles, she loves you. I love the Beatles :) and I love this song!!




I love most if not all of their songs and was happy this one made it to the list. :D I remember the time when the Beatles was the only thing I would listen on my music playlist. If I could pick a concert to go to, I would love to go to the Beatles concert. I think it would just be amazing~~! If only I could turn back time. :)

Playlist Friday: Grease - You're the one that I want

I almost forgot to post this, hence the late post!! You probably hear this all the time but OMG! it is Friday again!!

I started watching Glee again (I fell in and out of love with Glee) and the last episode I saw was their Grease episode. Ever since I saw that episode this song just keep playing on and on in my head. Seriously I have never had a song that's so stuck in my head like this one!

First of all I love Grease. :D I think I watched that a couple times all in a course of 4 days. Haha...when I was interning, my friends couldn't stand it. They say I lived in the wrong era. :P I literally watched Grease during my break and had their songs on all the time. Then it died down. Now it is Glee's fault that I have to watch that movie Grease again!! I am pretty sure no one wants to watch it with me. It is kinda corny :P. Maybe next time I can ask CLK to watch it with me HAHA.

Little paw

Since Valentine's Day is coming I want to share a picture of a special little someone in my life, Hope.

Last week she weight 291g, this week she weight 320g. :) She roughly measure up to 27cm and this week she is 32cm. I am trying to get a picture of her everyday so I can see how much she grows. Last week she fits nicely in the palms of my hands and now she is filling up my palms fast. I wish they would all stay this small and this cute forever :P Can't believe Mojo and Forest were this little months ago. 

Here is a picture of her cute paw...and since it's almost Valentine's I added a red heart. :) Have a great day, what's your plan for V-day?

Mojo Monday: The snip

I know it is no longer Monday but Mojo needs an update. Better late than never right? 2 Saturdays ago Mojo got the snip, he wasn't very thrilled about it at first. He looked at me with accusing eyes!

I contemplated on doing it, because I love Mojo, balls and all, but after getting some advice on it I decided to anyway. It is for Mojo's well being.

The first day he peed all over himself. He was under for a long time. The doc said he would be aware 3 hours after the surgery but he took about 12 hours to be fully aware. I was kinda scared because he seems to be out for so long. The first meow was like heaven. He ate a little bit the first night too. I think he was just sore. I texted my sister in India and she laughed. :P

So a little after a week later, Mojo is fine. He still acts like a little cat (which I was scared because I don't want him to be lazy and fat) and he needs a bath. I read that baths should wait at least 2 weeks after the surgery. I am glad he doesn't smell cause they said the urine of neutered cat doesn't smell as bad as a normal male one. :P Hahaha, he still needs a bath. Apparently he has become the welcome mat so his fur is kinda yellow-ish. Every time someone comes to our house they will rub his tummy with their foot (including me XD). I should take a picture of that next time.

The picture was taken the night he was awake. That face makes me sad but he is all Mojo-jojo now so all is well. ;)

Happy Friday everyone!! Another Friday, another week goes by just as quick. This beautiful Friday I want to share a song that I just fell in love with the from the first time I heard it...I don't even remember when I first heard it but I think this song is suitable for this particular Friday.




I love the lyrics to this song, and her somewhat dreamy and raspy voice. To me this song is kinda romantic and sad at the same time. I would totally do this as a first date/dance song. :) It is kinda romantic don't you think?

Today also mark the 4th year anniversary of us. It has been 4 years and it seems just like yesterday. If you don't know CLK and I met online and we are currently in this really mind boggling and crazy LDR. I guess when you really feel comfortable with somebody and they are practically your bestfriend you are able to endure challenges and craziness for each other. Other times I and other people don't know how we manage to do it, I guess we just do. It makes times together special and I never try to take it for granted because those are hard fought times.

The last time we saw each other was new year (on skype) and the last time we said good bye, see you later was February 24th, 2011. I know our lives are not perfect, we don't always agree with each other, we don't always make each other happy, we are never there for hugs and kisses, and to keep each other company but I think this makes us stronger. And we are always crazy.

I hope we can keep this up and look forward to more good things.

Playlist Friday: N' Sync - Girlfriend

Happy Friday everyone! Time flies when you are having fun! Which is so true. I am still recovering from the tiredness that is called a wedding ;) and I have another wedding next weekend! I is kinda exciting since my cousin has asked me to be her bridesmaid. So I am kinda excited and nervous at the same time. I hope to get a ton of pictures of that day.

Been listening to some oldies lately (haha, not that oldies) rediscovering songs I love. One of them is N' Sync Girlfriend. I like the version with Nelly in it.
