More snacks and yummy cakes.

Just some snack pictures for a few months ago. :)

The picture of the seaweed snack above is made from wanton or eggroll wrappers (I don't know if it's the same thing?) and the seaweed is place in between and they are cut into strips and fried. My sister made that.

More pictures I took of snacks and cakes. We made some of the cakes in the last pictures, the ones with the pretty designs are all bought though. :P I have yet to learn how to make those.

The 'kuih'

This was meant to be posted like 2 months ago and things happened, I got lazy then you know...procrastination. Bla bla...I don't have a good excuse but I did edited them to make them look nicer. :P I think I was a little disappointed because I did not take as many pictures as I did during eid this year as years before. I don't know why but I felt kinda empty and sad. But even though it has been a few months it's never too late right? :)

I woke up early in the morning and took pictures of all the cookies or biscuits. Kuih is the Malay word for cookies, well actually I think it is cake. I might be wrong so don't quote me :). I would have to look that up actually ;).

I have a few more pictures to share. I hope I get them up sooner and not wait another 2 months. Haha.

I want to wish all my friends and readers (if any) a wonderful Lunar new year or Chinese new year :). I heard a ton of fireworks being played outside but didn't see any. I guess they were too far or not high enough for me to see. DAMN I should've made my way to the temple. I am sure they were playing a ton of fireworks! Remind me to make it there by the 15th day of the new year. :D More fireworks I hope!!

As we bid farewell to the year of the rabbit (I think) we say hello to the year of the dragon. So all of the babies born from this day forward (Monday) will be dragon babies :D Awww...

What I love most about Chinese new year is (other than the visiting friends and food) are the lanterns! They are so pretty and here they string them across buildings. I have taken pictures of them over the years but they do not do them justice. It is hard to capture a very beautiful scenery with my oh-no-so-professional camera. I will have to try my best in the future.

So in celebration of the new year I will be visiting a friend whom I visited every year and on odd years with CLK. Since he is not around this year I will be going with the troops...old friend. :) I love my friends who I have known for years and years. I want angpow (money they usually give out in red envelops) but my friend is not married and he is not required to give them... damn. LOL 

I hope this year will bring luck to me, I was born in the year of the Rat, too bad there wasn't a year of the cat...I am somewhat rat-like in personality..LOL. I hope this year will bring us all prosperity, wealth and good health. :) Dust off your welcome mat and say hello to the Dragon.

Saturday night was fun...with red polka dot tights ^__^

It was the Governer's birthday celebration. And we were playing for his birthday dinner. (FYI I play in an orchestra :) maybe I'll blog about it one of these days ;) ). One of the many things I love about it is I get to dress up: usually all black which is fine with me because I love black. :D So that particular night I decided to wear this red polka dot tights. And I am. In. Love. :)

A funny thing happened just before I got in the car to go to the hall - the screw on my glasses was loose and it fell. So I was practically blind without them! This is what happened after a lil help from my friend.

It's kinda hilarious when I look at it now...and I did joke about it that night :P (and I got it fixed!).

I was trying to hide the 'injured' glasses XD and you can't see it really ^__^

So it was a pretty busy week, with rehearsal and such and after that I went out to have dinner with one of the member. He said I remind him of his daughter..awww. I was touched and honored. :) We had some noodle soup and satay. Sadly I think I deleted the picture because it was dark, booo... :D.

Food Fest is making me feel fat =__=''

Ok since I rant about football all the time lets talk about something else that I love (and that I can post a million pics without writing much cause I am lazy like that and that I need some me time with CLK :D). Food. Other that the love for football, I. Love. Food. And it starts with F too XDD.

Last weekend it was like food fest, all over again. o.O I did soooo much eating that I think I just gained back the 2kg that I lost. =__* So FML moment...*sob sob* but I have to tell you it was good. :) LOL

Sunday I did hang out with one of my besties, S, and we had a lot to talk about and it was fun. :) We didn't really plan to do anything that day but her and her students, and since they didn't show up we ate like mad! XDD It was called for anyway. :)

Sorry for the food pics XD. We had meaty pizza which was okay in my opinion, some appetizer, shrimp, calamari and potatoes slices or sort, and pasta which S wanted to try. We were hungry when we started but we didn't finish it all. (What? You think we did, didn't you XD.) Then she sent me to the airport cause both my sisters were going back to college :'(. It was a sad. I missed them already.

S sent me to the airport and it was nice of her, and it turns out that both my sisters flight were delayed. From 750pm to 930pm. So, the whole family had dinner at the airport, and went to McDonalds. Of course there were a lot of people at McDonalds so we went to KFC instead. o.O And there were a lot of people too! Well since everyones flight has been bumped an hour or 2 later there was a ton of people just chillaxing at the airport. I took some pics but then my battery died. o.O

Long weekend part I

Since it's wayyyy too late for me to write anything long, or productive, I have pictures instead. :D Yay (doing a happy lil Irish dance)! I had a long weekend, like loooooooooooooooooong weekend, with little sleep and long drive that almost got us lost cause I kinda spaced-out while driving.

Seriously, I kept saying 'I didn't see the intersection' as my excuse and before a span of 12-hours have passed, seems like the "whole" family knew about our 'almost-got-lost-getting-home-journey' story. Seriously, no kidding. So pictures it is:


I love kitties. Cats. I love kitty cats. :D And I know I said I was gonna post some up, so here are some!!! :) They are...err...I think 2/3 of the whole gang, promise I will post more up. :D

This is Ollie. He is a big boy. He is a naughty boy. And he is also a horny lil bugger. But he was (is...is still) my first baby :). Don't want to make him feel bad now do we. Oh did I mention he is a scardy cat? Yeah he is a scardy cat (ahaha, funny I know). He is ultimately scared of the vacuum cleaner. If I was a wee-lil cat I would be scared of the big, yellow, noisy vacuum cleaner too.

This is a picture of Ollie (top) and Charlie (bottom) having some good time. (Ok, Charlie likes Ollie (no he is not gay) and likes to lick him and then bite his ears, I suppose like two brothers playing football, cat-style. And Ollie tolerates this. Pretty cute ey?)

I introduce you, Charlie. Cute ey? This is my (current) love of my life. Shhhhh don't tell CLK. >:D Ahahaha... He said that "he's trying to take away my woman", I feel so special. He gives good massages, on your protruding belly and anywhere he could find that suits his needs. Really.

This picture was taken last week (I think). I don't remember when, but I know I was out watching The Proposal with my friend, and we walked along the Waterfront and I took this, cause I wanted to see if it is as beautiful as they say it is, and IT is. Breathtaking. Altho I wish I was walking with someone else, hand-in-hand. =_=''' but the view was great. :D

I hope it is cause it sure need a lot of renovation, cause I've been to a lot of McDonald's that are wayyyyyyyyy cooler than this one. Like totally. I have to show you my McDonald's picture collection. CLK said it's like I eat, breath, sleep McDonald's. :P Ok, he doesn't say that exactly but said that I do hang out there a lot. Like "hang out". Ok I realized that 'those' are not what I did last weekend (but the McD pic is and then realized that this is what I did LAST weekend, and it is weekend already. Life. *sigh*) but this is what I did do during (last) weekend. My brother and I went to watch G.I. Joe. Which was kinda disappointing. The movie was good, but it lack something. I do have to say I liked Transformers: The Rise of the Fallen (is that what the title was, dang I forgot) much better. More realistic. Yeah. That's what it is. More believable. :) Good, don't get me wrong. But I guess Channing Tatum (spell check?) really sealed the deal. *drools* (But that can't beat a nekkid Ryan Reynolds *drools more*). And while waiting for the movie, I took pictures of the city. As much of the city that's viewable.

Before the movie (which was spontaneous) we went to my cousins' second wedding reception. They are a cute couple, altho I didn't manage to get a lot of pictures (cause I came late) and I was just in time to hear them call all the relatives on the guys side that wanted to take pictures with the new(old)lyweds. I was not a very willing participant but I smiled for the camera anyway :D, best I could do for being late.

This boy (I think he was 8 or something) sung at the wedding, and he was GOOD. He even sang songs I don't even know existed. Chubby and cute. :D
