Project 365: #146 Noodles and duck eggs

My cousin made lunch on Saturday. :o) She is awesome. And we had preserved duck egg :D good but high in cholesterol, not recommended to be eaten daily.

Have you eaten these lil buggers?

Project 365: #145 Food....fast food

While waiting to pick up my parents and sister at the airport, I ate some awesome delicious food. XD It helped me pass the time since my iPod and phone had no battery and I forgot to bring a book. Silly me.

Yummy... I love fries!

He said, she said: Childminder

Last weekend while sleepily texting CLK, who was watching the Packers game at a friend's house.

She: So how was the game?

He: I don't know, I haven't been watching it so much. I am with A. He is cooking Childminder and it's taking a long time.

She: (confused and sleepy)....what's a Childminder? is it a fish?

He: LOL. Damn it autocorrect. Chicken not childminder.

Project 365: #144 Farewell Party

A few weeks ago, my sister and I were invited to a family friends (my sister's friend but she's so adorable, funny and honest to the bones that everyone just love her and her family!) farewell party. Our friend Tila was going to further her studies in the UK so she asked some of close friends and family for a lil dinner party.

Her place is awesome. It is unique and I love the decor and ambiance. The house itself is confusing because there are so many doors that leads to rooms :P it's like Alice in Wonderland. She had her place decorated Balinese style with candles and the food was amazing (as always). Let's just let the photos do the talking :D

I don't know why but the guy wanted to pose with me while I was stocking food XD

TV Date: The Lying Game, Ringer and The Secret Circle

As I was reading some of my awesome blogger friends blogs came across a post about new shows coming up. Two which stood out the most were Ringer and The Secret Circle. I am sure you must've watched the pilot for both. Ringer starring Sarah Michelle Geller (I wanted to write Sarah Jessica Parker..haha what's up with that?) is about a pair of identical twin that lives totally different lives.

This actually reminds me of another series, The Lying Game. It has that 'same' concept, identical twins thing and one trying to be the other kinda theory. The lying game is based on the book by Sara Shepard the same author that wrote Pretty Little Liars. You know how I love my Pretty Little Liars and I am beginning to like The Lying Game too. Oh yeah, one major turn on "hottie" by the name of Blair Redford who plays Ethan Whitehorse, oh so totally hot. He was also in Switched at Birth. Then he was no more. So totally worth the time ;).

Ringer via

Now onto the secret circle, I was attracted to it because Britt Robertson was starring in it. She played Lux in Life Unexpected which was cancelled I believe. I like that show. Oh yeah Kristoffer Polaha who played Baze in that show is also in Ringer. If you haven't watch it yet, this show is about witches and warlocks I suppose. It kinda reminds me of Charmed and The Covenent in some sort of way. I actually enjoyed the pilot and can't wait for the next episode. I have to say I thought I would like Ringer more but Ringer is kinda boring to me. The Secret Circle is much more intriguing. I hope both keeps clinging on for awhile. And I can't wait for my Supernatural to come back, soon! Oh and have you watched the latest season of Vampire Diaries? I dunno why I never got into it...

Oh this is gonna be so much fun...

Project 365: #143 Mini love

My sister came home for Eid (she is studying in India) and made mini cupcakes for us. This is all that is left and we made a whole bunch.

They were good. I found this recipe in a magazine and I didn't think it would turn out awesome. :D It is simple and easy. (Sorry I don't have the recipe for it now but if you want I can share it with you.) Do you like mini cupcakes?

Project 365: #142 Food, oh Food

I wanted to eat dinner 2 nights ago, and my mom only had noodles. Fried noodles (I may have mention this on Twitter). So I ate noodles. Just to remind you I was hungry because I have been practicing for a show this Friday (I am on day 5 - might have mentioned this on Twitter too).

It was pretty good noodles :D <---  my satisfied face

I was suppose to accompany my sister to her friends house for a lil get together (she is leaving for UK on Saturday) but I didn't because I was on Day 5 of my rehearsal. So she came home with spaghetti. =_____='' If you know me, I have a thing for Italian food. I love 'em. So.....what I did? I ate the spaghetti. FML.

It tasted better than it looked (funny story: it had to be cooked twice hence the overkill look but it was good anyway). Thanks sis for making me fat in just one day. Next plan: lose weight. XD

I like a YouTube video: Perfect Two - Auburn

This song is just too sweet. :D

Perfect Two

Verse1
You can be the peanut butter to my jelly
You can be the butterflies I feel in my belly
You can be the captain
And I can be your first mate
You can be the chills that I feel on our first date
You can be the hero
And I can be your sidekick
You can be the tear That I cry if we ever split
You can be the rain from the cloud when it's stormin'
Or u can be the sun when it shines in the mornin'

Chorus
Don't know if I could ever be Without you
'Cause boy you complete me
And in time I know that we'll both see That we're all we need
Cause you're the apple to my pie
You're the straw to my berry
You're the smoke to my high
And you're the one I wanna marry

Cause you're the one for me (for me)
And I'm the one for you (for you)
You take the both of us (of us)
And we're the perfect two
We're the perfect two
We're the perfect two
Baby me and you
We're the perfect two
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsty.com/auburn-perfect-two-lyrics.html ]
Verse 2
You can be the prince and I can be your princess
You can be the sweet tooth I can be the dentist
You can be the shoes and I can be the laces
You can be the heart that I spill on the pages
You can be the vodka and I can be the chaser
You can be the pencil and I can be the paper
You can be as cold as the winter weather
But I don't care as long as were together

Chorus
Don't know if I could ever be
Without you 'cause boy you complete me
And in time I know that we'll both see
That we're all we need
Cause you're the apple to my pie
You're the straw to my berry
You're the smoke to my high
And you're the one I wanna marry

Cause your the one for me (for me)
And I'm the one for you (for you)
You take the both of us (of us)
And we're the perfect two
We're the perfect two
We're the perfect two
Baby me and you
We're the perfect two

Verse 3
You know that I'll never doubt ya
And you know that I think about ya
And you know I can't live without ya
I love the way that you smile
And maybe in just a while
I can see me walk down the aisle

Cause you're the apple to my pie
You're the straw to my berry
You're the smoke to my high
And you're the one I wanna marry
Cause your the one for me (for me)
And I'm the one for you (for u)
U take the both of us (of us)
And were the perfect two
Were the perfect two
Were the perfect two
Baby me and you
We're the perfect two(yeah, yeah)

Project 365: #141 New Strings

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!

How happy am I that my violin is getting new strings??? VERY happy! It all happened when the violin somehow went out of tune cause the string were slipping (I do not know the correct term for that sorry) and my friend had to tune it. She complained that my string was rusty (yes indeed it was but they still sound good!) and said I should overhaul it (change new strings). Being a procrastinator that I am I do not know when I will swing by the music store (I have never been there) and she was nice enough to ask for a set of new strings for me. Oh I love you so deary! Now, I need these suckers on my violin.

The strings that are on the violin are the original ones (except for the A string cause it snapped years ago). It must have been bought together with it (or it may have been older) and that was almost 10 years ago or more. My dad bought it in Germany and I am very proud of it (and also CLK is half German? XD hahahahahahaha). I would love to get a new one hopefully soon, somewhere in the future. Another love for another time. (I would insert a picture of my violin but I think it has made its way into my blog one time or another. Will have to take another picture of the before and after overhaul :D).

Project 365: #140 Something Green

Have you ever had this? With sambal?

They are pretty good :D and healthy...minus the sambal i suppose :P

Project 365: #139 A simple dinner

Maybe not so simple to you. :) My mom always makes me happy, I think moms in general. :D

Menu:

Eggs
Lady finger and sambal
Prawn (I don't know how it's cooked)
Rice

What's your dinner menu?

Project 365: #138 The Destroyer

Yet again, don't be fooled by the serene sleeping cat. This is the Destroyer! He wrestled with the towel for 5 minutes before retreating to a beauty sleep. He also love chasing the other cats (who are not scared half to death at the sight of him!) and killed (almost) all the lizards that have been inhibiting the space, chased after cockroaches (which I always find upside down aka dead) and have acquired an apprentice (yet to be introduced). See how much damage such a cutie pie can do?

=____=''

Project 365: #137 Soto

Every Eid, my aunt would make soto. Her soto is the most mouth watering soto I have ever tasted (not that I taste a bunch of sotos all over the place) seriously delicious. :) This is chicken soto or soto ayam (Googling this very moment...). It is a variation of an Indonesian cuisine (read here). Other names for it: sroto, tauto or coto.

It is kinda like a family tradition that this is served every Eid morning :) and you don't want to miss it! It is delicious.

Soto ayam is chicken in a yellow spicy broth with lontong, nasi empit, ketupat (rice compressed by cooking wrapped tightly in a leaf, then sliced into small cakes), or vermicelli, commonly found in Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. (Wikipedia)

Project 365: #136 The Sleeping Beauty

Haha..this made me laugh. Kathy, I miss you!

Project 365: #135 Would you rather..

...pick the big rice square or the tiny rice squares? LOL

These are suppose to be ketupat. The rice is supposedly wrapped in woven palm leave pouch and boiled but since this is the 21st century, things gets to be less complicated (and making the leave pouch takes skills man) they invented ketupat in a pastic casing. Tadah. Problem solved and easy to cook. Although the art of ketupat making is diminishing.

Ketupat or packed rice is a type of dumpling from Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines (where it is known by the name pusô in Cebuano, bugnóy in Hiligaynon, patupat in Kapampangan, or ta’mu in Tausug), and Singapore. (wikipedia)

I like a YouTube video: HelloHannahCho

I fell in love with this girl from the moment she spoke :P (sorry random ramblings here.) She just made me laugh and she is totally awesome.

Project 365: #134 Patches

This is Patches Roxy. She is a very naughty cat. Don't be fooled by that cute face.

Project 365: #133 Something random

I decided to get bangs XD and CLK said I look like a teen...ahahaha. I guess it could be a compliment. He is always telling me he does not want to be mistaken by others that he's dating a minor. Although now I don't think I can pass for a minor anymore...sob sob.

Movie Date: The Dark Knight

Honestly I don't watch Batman movies. But, I love this movie. I think Heath Ledger's character is freakin' awesome. I never knew why I never watched this earlier and I bet everybody wanted to watch that movie when it came out. Watching it makes me despise the Joker, and it makes me wanna punch him in the face. It is sad that he left the world at an early age.

I think this has to be best Batman movie out there, making me think other Batman movies could not compete with this one. Maybe it's Heath Ledger's final performance, maybe it's just an awesome story like we would never know. If you have not watch this (I am sure you all have!) you should. :) I think I might have to watch this the second time. Just to be sure I don't miss anything.

My favorite quote from the movie:

James Gordon Jr.: [Batman runs off into the darkness as James Jr. joins his father by Harvey Dent's body] Batman? Why's he running Dad?
Lt. James Gordon: [Staring after Batman] Because we have to chase him.
James Gordon Jr.: But he didn't do anything wrong
Lt. James Gordon: Because he's the hero Gotham deserves. But not the one it needs right now. And so we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent gaurdian. A watchful protector. A dark knight

(source: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0468569/quotes)

I actually memorized pretty much some of it and had to look it up to be sure :P I am awesome (insert gagging sound) LOL. Have you watch this movie? I think it is freakin' awesome. :) And...I didn't know the Dark Knight is actually Batman.

Movie Date: Drumline

This movie came out in 2002 and I just started college then. I remembered wanting to watch it but never got to watch it until the late 2004. I love this movie. And I have a CD to prove it and have watched it more than once. ;) When they were playing it on my cable tv 2 nights ago I couldn't pass it up. I gotta watch it again. Something about drums and college/school setting makes me love it. Like Remember the Titans (have you watch that movie?)

I know a lot of people may not like this type of movies but I do, especially when it is based on true story/event (I know this wasn't) but don't you just love the music? :D And I love Nick Cannon.

Have you watched this movie?
