A night of lights :) and tons of food XD

Warning: Pictures!! ;)

So I have never celebrated Deepavali at home (where my parents live) because I was always away in school when the festival of lights occurs. So this year when my friend called me up and invited me to her house to have some food and rekindle our lost friendship I was skeptical. You would think I was pretty excited huh? Well I was, I just didn't know it until I actually was in her presence. :)

CLK told me to go and don't make excuses. I tend to make excuses when I feel anxious before meeting someone or thrown in a situation I don't know I can handle. He persuade forced me to go and said that I will have a good time. And I did. :) And I am glad I went!!

Me and my friend Usha were (and still are!) good friends when I was a senior in high school and after school we lost touch. She went to a different school than I was and well then we didn't have cellphones to keep in touch (nor Facebook). So I remember the last time I saw her (and it was by pure coincidental!) was when I was out at the mall with a friend and she was out with her then bf (now husband!) I think that was 7 years ago~~ Wow, time flies.

Earlier this year I bumped into her (and literally bumped into her!) and a friend at a mall where I had to go to get my glasses. Boy we were so happy and just hugged each other and laugh and can't believe we ACTUALLY bumped into each other after so long. I have mention to my mom that I was thinking about her and voila! there she is! :D You can't tell how happy I was (maybe you can ^__^). She told me she got married end of last year to her then boyfriend and they had been together for 9 years! :D I was really genuinely happy for her.

So last night when I saw her I was a lil surprised to see that she was 7 months pregnant!! ^__^ And was pretty excited too. Ok maybe not surprised, but to think it was 7 months ago that I met her was a lil disturbing, where have all the time gone? One think that hit me is though is that all of my besties are either pregnant or gave birth already!! Crazy huh? Makes me feel so old :P. I will do a post of babies when I get to see them in person ;). Here are some pictures from last night:

Of course there are food and stuff!!

and Indian delicacies :D

My beautiful friend <3

@Lindsie Lee: I did :D I love building networks and meeting interesting people. Like thru blogging!

@Lee: I just realized I didn't take any pictures of the currys and all the other food that was there, I guess I felt kinda silly because there was a ton of people out :P

@Ayu: My first Deepavali in Kuching!! With my friend! She's pregnant :P so cute!! Wow I feel old XD

@Straylights: I did, we stayed like 3 hours :P She didn't want me to leave but it was 1130pm!! Those orange balls are Indian delicacies, like sweet and other spices mix. It is REALLY sweet, I only could have a bite!
